In an article published in Gristmill in February 2007, CTC co-founder Charles Komanoff commented on a Los Angeles Times article that pooh-poohed the benefits to climate stabilization from three major (hypothetical) steps: eliminating U.S. cars, Chinese factories, and European electricity. This spreadsheet contains Komanoff's calculations estimating that the respective impacts -- reductions of 4.3%, 7.7% and 5.6% -- would be far from insignificant.
